Zoho Integration Guide
Connect your Zoho CRM account to export event leads into Zoho Leads. Choose a layout, map your fields, and send records through a guided export flow.
Before you start
Your Zoho CRM user needs access to the Leads module.
You'll need to approve the connection for your Zoho account.
With at least one event and some captured leads.
The attendee and badge data you want exported into Zoho CRM.
Setting it up
1. Navigate to Integrations
Log in, select your event, then go to 'Integrations' in the sidebar. You'll see the Zoho card there.
2. Connect your account
Click "Connect to Zoho" and you'll be sent to Zoho's authorization page. We use OAuth, so you're simply granting Intelevents permission to read Lead metadata, search existing leads, and create or update lead records.
Quick note on permissions:
We only request the Zoho access needed to work with Leads and their layouts. You can disconnect the integration later from the same Integrations page.
3. You're connected
After authorizing, you'll be redirected back to Intelevents. The Zoho card will show as connected and you'll be able to open the export wizard.
Using the integration
Choosing a layout
Zoho Leads can use different layouts, and the export wizard lets you choose which one to send data into. Once you pick a layout, the wizard only shows the Zoho fields available for that layout.
This keeps your mapping focused on the fields that actually matter for your Zoho setup.
Auto Sync
Auto Sync creates new Zoho Leads automatically as event leads are captured. Set it up once and walk away—every lead from your booth flows into Zoho in the background.
To turn it on:
- Open the Zoho card and click "Auto Sync."
- Map your event lead fields to Zoho fields (Email is required).
- Click "Save & Enable Auto Sync."
The card will show "Auto Sync Active" with the latest run time.
Exporting leads
The export wizard helps you choose the right records, review what is already in Zoho, pick the right layout, map your fields, and send everything over with confidence.
Select Records
Leads are grouped by email so repeat scans stay together. We check whether each lead is already in Zoho, then let you review matches before exporting.
Field Mapping
Start by choosing the right Zoho layout, then match your Intelevents fields to the fields available in that layout.
Review & Export
Before anything is sent, you get a final summary of new leads, records you'll skip, and records you'll overwrite.
Field mapping
This is where you decide how your event data should land in Zoho. Standard badge fields like last name, first name, company, and email are easy starting points, and you can also map device data, survey responses, AI-generated fields, or raw badge fields when needed.
Pro tip: Start with a small test export to confirm your layout choice and field mappings before sending a larger batch.
Things to watch out for
Required fields
Zoho layouts can require certain Lead fields. The wizard keeps those fields at the top and won't let you continue until they're mapped.
Existing leads
If a lead is already in Zoho, you can review the match before exporting and choose whether to skip it or overwrite it. That gives you a little more control when the same person is already in your CRM.
Missing or multiple matches
Email is what ties everything together here. If a lead has no email, or Zoho finds more than one possible match, we'll skip it instead of guessing.
Auto Sync and duplicates
If a lead already exists in Zoho by email, Auto Sync skips it—existing leads are never overwritten. Use Manual Export if you need to update existing records.
Editing Auto Sync settings
While Auto Sync is on, the field mapping is locked. Disable it first, make your changes, then re-enable.
